• Routers use Dynamic Routing Protocols to automatically add routes to the Routing Table
• Of the Interior Gateway Protocols, there are four that will referenced on the CCNA
  • Distance Vector Routing Protocols
    • RIP
    • EIGRP
  • Link State Routing Protocols
    • OSPF
    • IS-IS
• There is only one Exterior Gateway Protocol that's in use that you should be aware of
  • Path Vector routing protocol
    • BGP
